History of the Zadroga Bill
The Zadroga Bill received its name in honor of James Zadroga (1971 - 2006) who was an officer of the New York City Police Department (NYPD). His death has been attributed to his participation in the rescue and recovery of the World Trade Center tragedy that occurred on September 1, 2001.
