Staten Island Car Accident Involving Four Cars Injures Two People

A Staten Island car accident involving four cars leaves 2 people injured and creates a traffic jam after the vehicles collide. The incident took place at approximately 10:00 PM on Sunday evening, April 4, 2010, on the Staten Island Expressway.

According to reports, the four-vehicle wreck occurred on the Staten Island Expressway just past the Clove Road Exit when the vehicles collided. The force of the impact caused two of the vehicles to spin out of control and facing oncoming traffic.

A fire department spokesperson reported that rescue crews transported one of the victims to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze and was treated for injuries sustained in the accident. A second victim was taken to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton. The extent of their injuries was not made available.

The identities of those involved in the wreck were not made known. Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported in the incident.

The Staten Island multi-vehicle accident is still under investigation by local authorities. The cause of the accident was not immediately made known by authorities.
