
A New Jersey motorcycle accident in Perth Amboy results in the unfortunate death of one man. The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 6:40 PM on Friday evening, October 9, 2009.
According to Detective Thomas Hudanish, Osvaldo Martinez, 29, of Keasbey, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding on collided with a Dodge Dynasty at the intersection of Neville Street and Groom Street in Perth Amboy.
Martinez was traveling on Neville Street when the two-vehicle accident took place. The Dodge Dynasty was driven by a 51 year-old woman from Passaic and was heading south on Groom Street when the two vehicles collided in the intersection. Martinez was ejected from the motorcycle.
Rescue workers transported Martinez to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Brunswick. Martinez died later that night due to injuries he suffered from the accident.
The Passaic driver of the Dodge Dynasty was transported to Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy and treated for injuries. According to police, her injuries were not life-threatening.
The cause of the New Jersey accident had not been determined as of yet. The accident is still under investigation by Perth Amboy police as well as the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Unit.
