Posted on Feb 20, 2010

A Freehold car accident involving two vehicles leaves a male driver and two female passengers dead with the sole survivor facing vehicular homicide charges. The incident took place on Monday, January 25, 2010, in the New Jersey city.

According to witnesses, Chad Horne, 22, of Freehold, was traveling on Easton Avenue with two female passengers when they were struck by another car. Horne and his two passengers, Terri Buskirk, 43, of Bethlehem Township, and Robin Villegas, 52, of Staten Island, New York, were pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident.

The driver of the second car that hit Horne has been identified as Anthony Russell Bruno, 25, of Bethlehem Township. Witnesses told police that Bruno’s vehicle was driving at speeds in excessive of the posted 40 mph speed limit and he was seen running several red lights. Bruno also allegedly passed several cars just before he struck Horne’s car.

According to police, Bruno had a blood-alcohol content of 0.23. This amount is almost three times the legal limit.

“The death of these three individuals is a serious tragedy for our community,” Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said.

The Freehold car accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Bruno has been charged with three counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol.

This is a tragic accident that claimed the life of these three innocent victims. Our thoughts and condolences go out to all of those that have been impacted by the crash.
