Fosamax Lawsuit for Hip Injury or Thigh Injury | Fosamax Lawyer in New York | Osteoporosis Drug Side Effects

Recent Findings about Fosamax and Other Popular Osteoporosis Drugs

Fosamax and other osteoporosis drugs such as Actonel, Actonel with Calcium, Atelvia, Boniva, Fosamax Plus D, and generic versions of these drugs have been recently linked to causing fractured hips and fractured thighs especially in patients who have been on the drug for over 5 years.

The FDA announced last month the updated list of side effects of Fosamax and also included in their statement that a warning will need to be included on all Fosamax prescriptions and other osteoporosis drugs that are affected by these findings.

The hip and thigh injuries that have been most commonly reported are low to no impact injuries meaning that the hip or thigh bone may have had slight impact to cause the injury or the injury may occur on its own without any impact. Often times patients reported that the only reason they knew to check for a broken bone is because of the severe pain they were in not because there was a fall or hit associated with the injury.
