Injury Cases in Staten Island, NY | Staten Island Injury Law Firm with Case for a Car Accident Due to a Downed Stop Sign in Staten Island, New York

A client severely injured in a car accident at intersection with a downed stop sign. A stop sign had been knocked down on Plattsburgh Street at Cromwell Avenue. Our client, driving along Plattsburgh Street, could not see a stop sign as it had been knocked down because of a car accident a few days earlier. The stop sign, or even a temporary one, was not put back up, despite other accidents that happened at the same intersection. Drivers approaching the intersection were unaware that there was no stop sign, and routinely passed through, narrowly avoiding an accident. The sign was put back up days later by Department of Transportation work crews.
