Q: When must a franchisor deliver a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) to a Prospective Franchisee?

A: A Franchisor must disclose and deliver its current Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) at least 14 days before the prospective franchisee signs an agreement or makes any payment to the franchisor or the franchisors affiliate.  Prospective Franchisees must be provided a full 14 days to review the FDD prior to signing any binding agreement or paying any money in connection with the franchise purchase.
