
A: Leandra's Law, also known as the Child Protection Passenger Act, is a driving law in New York State. The law was named after an 11 year old girl who died in a car accident in 1999 when she and seven other children were riding with her friends mother who was driving drunk. The mother who was directly the cause of the car accident and the death of Leandra Rosado now faces manslaughter charges.
