I received a letter saying that my case is referred for Conciliation. What does that mean?

A: Conciliation is a Workers' Compensation Board process established to resolve issues involving non-controverted claims in an expeditious and informal manner in which it is expected that you will receive no more than fifty-two weeks of benefits. If through concillation, you fail to reach an agreement, the case will be scheduled for a formal hearing.
