A: Costs charged by a lender can vary significantly so unless you get a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) knowing your exact closing costs impossible.  While some closing costs are based on the purchase price and mortgage amount (title insurance, mortgage tax), lender fees depending on the mortgage program selected by the borrower.
