$5,000 Reimbursement for Lost Wage Claim Against Geico

A 32-year old female injured in a car accident and was awarded $5,000 for a lost wage claim against Geico.  Our claim to the insurance company for the lost wage claim was initially denied.  After looking into the client's insurance policy and the denial it was apparent that the insurance company was at fault.  According to the New York State Department of Insurance General Counsel opinions it is required that in New York state every insurance policy include coverage for Basic Economic Loss.  Our firm attached the opinion of the New York State Department of Insurance General Counsel was attached as an exhibit when we filed for arbitration to force Geico to pay for our client's lost wage claim. After receiving this documentation Geico contacted our firm and asked to settle the claim for the full amount of $5,000.
