A car accident in Staten Island on Hylan Boulevard and Steuben Street is the cause for a woman's death and 5 other being injured with neck and back injuries from the car accident. The accident took place when a mini van was attempting to make a left hand turn and collided with an on coming car. The fault of the accident is still being determined.

Woman Killed in Car Accident in Staten Island 5 Others with Neck and Back Injuries

A Staten Island woman is dead from a car accident that occured Saturday on Hylan Boulevard and Steuben Street in the Grasmere section of Staten Island.

The deadly accident occured when a minivan attempting to make a left hand turn collided with a BMW driving in the opposite direction on Hylan Boulevard.

The woman who was killed in this car accident was pronounced dead at the scene where she had been ejected from the mini-van she was riding in. The other 4 passengers in the mini-van and the driver of the BMW were taken to the hospital to be treated for neck and back injuries from the car accident.

When speaking with onlookers at the site of the accident the reporter said that the area where the accident took place is a high risk area for accidents and that perhaps certain safety measures could be taken to make the area safer for cars making left hand turns.
