Staten Island School Bus and SUV Collide in Accident and Land on Huguenot Home Front Lawn

The Staten Island Advance is reporting that an SUV and a school bus collided Thursday afternoon in the South Shore area on the corner of Kingdom Avenue and Billiou Street.

The school bus was carrying 26 children and a bus driver.  The SUV had an adult and a child in it. 

According to a witness to the bus accident the children appeared to be fine and were all able to walk off of the bus.  The bus driver hit his head during the crash but the witness was unsure of whether or not the bus driver suffered head injuries in the accident.

Both the driver of the SUV and the child in the vehicle had to be extricated from the vehicle after the crash.

As shown in the picture above the both the bus and the SUV ended up on the front lawn of a Hugeonot home causing property damage to the fence. 

The exact cause of the accident is still being investigated.
