Staten Island Fire Truck Ran Red Light Without Stopping According to Reports

The Staten Island fire truck that collided with an adult disability van yesterday is being investigated. Witnesses say that the fire truck did not stop at the red light while on its way to an emergency call they received.

The law in New York states that emergency vehicles MUST come to a complete stop when approaching a red light at an intersection regardless of whether or not their sirens and lights are on.

One person was killed and two were critically injured and many more were injured from this accident.
