Staten Island & Brooklyn NY Product Defect and Injury Lawyer | Wii Remote Charger Recalled Due to Defect Which Causes Burn and Fire Hazards

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of Wii Battery Recharge Stations by Griffin International due to burn and fire hazards.

The recall consists of about 220,000 Wii remote chargers which were sold at Target, Toys R Us, Amazon.com and Best Buy between January 2008 and July 2009 for about $50.

THe Wii 4-Dock Recharge Station includes a white docking station with four recharge stations and a four rechargeable battery back with the model numbers PSE6501 and RT530.

So far there have been 6 reported incidents of overheating of which in two incidents the consumer was in suffered injuries from burns to their hands due to the defective product.
