Staten Island and Brooklyn New York Disability Lawyer | Social Security Compassionate Hearing for Early Onset Alzheimers Disease

The Social Security Administration hosted its fourth public hearing on Compassionate Allowances the end of July.

At the Compassionate Allowances Hearing the board allowed specialists from around the nation to speak on behalf of individuals with Early Onset Alzheimers Disease, which usually affects individuals between the ages of 50 and 65.

The Compassionate Allowance and Quick Disability Determination process would allow individuals who are disabled due to Early Onset Alzheimers disease to be able to be approved within days of submitting their disability insurance application as opposed to the normal wait for approval for disability insurance which can anywhere from a few months to a few years.
