According to a
recent post on SILive.com a driver was severely injured in a crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Expressway in Staten Island, NY this past Saturday.
The 60 year old male was heading southbound when he struck a guardrail between exits 12 and 10E. His vehicle according to the report ricocheted back to the other side of the highway at which time the drivers side of the vehicle was hit and the vehicle flipped over.
The man involved in the accident remained in the hospital in serious condition until two days ago when he passed at the Richmond University Medical Center. We send out condolences out to the family and friends he left behind.
Also, involved in the accident was a motorcyclist who was driving behind the vehicle when the crash occured. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and was injured in several places but did survive the motorcycle crash. We wish a quick recovery to the motorcyclist involved in the accident.
