Clifford Cooley, a 27-year old Rahway man, was indicted yesterday by the Middlesex County grand jury for charges of aggrivated manslaughter, vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and causing a death while driving with a suspended license. Prosecutors also alledge that Cooley was intoxicated at the time of the car crash.
The fatal car crash occured when Cooley and a couple of other people with him, Brandon Bullock and David Colvin II, were street racing and crashed into the vehicle of Nicholas Phan-Tran, a 21-year old Edison man. Phan-Tran suffered fatal injuries from the crash which recently, in August 2009, lead to his death.
