The
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall of the BMW Z4 301 and the BMW Z4 351 manufactured between March 10 2009 and March 19 2009 due to a major defect which can cause the crimp connector in the belt tension wiring plug to fail.
The crimp connector defect occurs when increased electrical resistance occurs and it can cause the vehicles safety belt tensioner to fail which can result in fatal injuries if involved in an accident.
So far BMW has not announced a remedy or a notification schedule for the recalled car part.
