NY Social Security Disability Backlog: Disabled Are Waiting Years for Benefits and Over Half Are Initially Being Denied

According to a recent article in the news the Social Security Disability Benefits backlog in New York is currently anywhere between 1 year to almost 2 years of a wait which is the 18th worst in the nation. Different areas of New York vary as to how long the average wait is and some areas of New York are worse off than others when it comes to the Social Security Disability backlog but overall New York State is one of the states that are are worse off than most when it comes to waiting to be approved for Social Security Disability Benefits.
