Newspaper delivery man critically injured after being hit by a car in Staten Island

The Staten Island Advance is reporting that Alejandro Santos, a 42 year old newspaper delivery man from Carteret, New Jersey, was seriously injured just before 8:00 a.m. while finishing up his newspaper route on Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island.  

Alejandro Santos was hit by a Nissan Maxima while he was crossing the street near Wood Avenue in Tottenville.

The 19 year old driver of the vehicle was question and released by police and is expected to not have any charges placed against him at this time.   

Alejandro was taken to Staten Island University Hospital and is in very serious condition at this time.
