Caffeinated alcohol drink Four Loco was banned in certain states the past few weeks including the
Four Loco ban in New York state. Now the manufacturer of Four Loco has announced the recall of Four Loco because of the anticipation of an FDA review that they are waiting on.
The manufacturers of Four Loco have only recalled the drink temporarily to restructure the formula of the drink which will include removing the caffeine from the alcoholic malt beverage. The action to recall Four Loco comes after quite a few incidents involving mostly college students who have suffered from alcohol poisoning or come close to experiencing alcohol poisoning. The drink has caffeine in it which is a stimulant and alcohol which is a depressant causing the person drinking Four Loco to be able to do so in excess without feeling the effects of being drunk and sluggish. Instead the caffeine gives the person a false sense of awareness which leads them to think they have not reached their "limit".
This drink as it was being sold previously is a real danger to college students and other adults alike.
