After his fiance broke off their four month long engagement Christopher Reinhold wanted his now ex-fiance, Colette DiPierro, to return the engagement ring he gave her which is worth over $17,500 according to a recent article about the battle for the diamond ring on SILive.com.
Colette DiPierro allegedly kept the engagement ring and has refused to give it back to Mr. Reinhold after multiple times of him asking so Mr. Reinhold decided to start a lawsuit against his ex-fiance for the cost of the ring along with costs for damages and legal fees.
Mr. Reinhold's is being represented in the lawsuit for the engagement ring by business and franchise lawyer Charles Internicola, a partner at the Dongan Hills law firm, Decker, Decker, Dito & Internicola, LLP.
According to James Cohen, a Fordham University Law School Professor, Mr. Internicola and Mr. Reinhold have a very good chance of recovering the money for the engagement ring because he said "It's not just any gift, it is a gift that has explicit and implicit conditions which is marriage. It seems to me that if he cancels the marriage, he should get it back".
