Driver Leaves Scene of Accident after Hitting Boy With Car

Silive is reporting that a motorist who hit a 12-year old boy crossing Arden Avenue tried to leave the scene of the accident. Rafael Rivera of the 300 block of Aspen Knolls Way is accused of hitting the boy while attempting to make a left turn onto Arden Avenue from Woodrow Road. Mr. Rivera was stopped by an eyewitness until police came. He reportedly told the police that he stopped to see if the boy was alive and then went to pick up his daughter.
