Distracted Driving Car Accidents Show Many Incidents Occur Every Year

Distracted driving car accidents unfortunately have been increasing over the years as technology increases. Whether distracted by a cell phone call, texting, searching though an iPod, or anything else that takes a drivers attention away from the road there have been many people putting forth an effort to stop driving distracted and focus on the road.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration put together a campaign called "Faces of Distracted Driving". The site for the campaign includes stories and pictures of people who were both victims of distracted driving and those who were distracted while driving and caused the accident.

Please keep in mind when driving to focus on the road and not on other technology or things not related to driving. Your eyes should be on the road for the quickest reaction time as you can see from the campaign it is worth while.

Distracted driving car accidents killed nearly 5,500 last year and injured 500,000 more.
