Ford Motors recently issued a recall for 2009 Ford Explorers and 2009 Lincoln Navigators. The recent recall was issued after the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) received multiple reports of a defect with the break light system.
The break lamp defect on these vehicles causes a delay in the break light illuminating when pressed. In some instances where the break was pressed lightly the break light did not illuminate.
As of July 6th Ford began sending out information on this recently found defect to it's customers who purchased an Explorer or a Navigator.
If you have a 2009 Ford Explorer or a 2009 Lincoln Navigator you can either contact the manufacturers of Ford directly at 800-392-3673 or you can bring your vehicle to any Ford dealership to have the break lamp defect fixed free of charge.
