The
Staten Island Advance is reporting that there were 10 arrests made in Staten Island over the weekend due to drunk driving.
One of the arrests made was a Luis B. Vanegas, 28-year old man from West Brighton, hit another car and injured a 13-year old girl. The accident occured Friday night at around 10:40 pm according to the police.
The 13-year old girl, whose name was not released, was sitting in the passanger side of the car when the drunk driver crashed into the vehicle she was sitting in. The girl was taken to the hospital after the crash due to injuries that she sustained.

blood alcohol content level that night was .214 which is nearly 2 1/2 times higher than the legal limit which is .08. He was charged by the police with aggrivated driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, endangering the walfare of a child, operating a motor vehicle while impaired and second degree reckless endangerment.
